We operate under Liquor Licence. Under New Zealand law, alcoholic beverages can only be sold to persons over the age of 18 years. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase alcoholic beverages in New Zealand. Local law applies to all other countries. ANZ Wine requires that customers agree to supply proof of age on request and we further undertake that we shall not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18.

It is also illegal to make false declaration of age in order to purchase liquor. If you are under the age of 18, please do not attempt to use this site to purchase liquor. By clicking on "Checkout" and completing an order online, you are confirming you are over the age of 18 and legally eligible to purchase liquor.

Price comparisons are based on our individual bottle, single case prices as assessed by the Cellar Director with reference to comparable wines. Subject to availability, our full selection of wines may be purchased at the single case price. All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (currently 12.5%) Delivery and insurance not included.

Minimum Orders
The minimum order is one case (usually 12 bottles), unless otherwise stipulated by the winery.

High Volume Orders
If you are ordering over 30 cases in any one purchase, please contact us so we can discuss special options.

Please check whether our delivery service is suitable BEFORE placing an order. Dispatch of orders is usually within 3 to 7 working days from receipt of the order, and an automated confirmation email will be sent to your email address on the day of dispatch. (If you do not receive your automated order confirmation and dispatch confirmation, please note they can sometimes be filtered out, so do check your bulk/spam mail folders and mark 'not junk' if required.)
In outlying areas delivery is completed in the normal manner from your NZ Couriers’ depot or agent.

Delivery limitations: National AND International Orders
ANZ Wine has teamed up with a leading distribution company that specializes in the shipment of alcohol all over New Zealand.

Currently we do not deliver outside New Zealand against the online orders. For all the international locations / overseas orders please contact us directly. Please note that some countries/territories may have special import regulations or prohibitions. If you know of any special regulations for your country, please advise us explaining these while contacting us. International buyers will be responsible to pay the import / excise duties / taxes if applicable at their respective countries directly (if any).

Please note that the courier firm is unable to provide special timed deliveries, or Saturday delivery. It is a normal courier service, and their drivers are NOT able to accommodate special arrangements (e.g. calling our customers individually ahead of time, etc) so please bear this in mind when specifying instructions.
Unattended Delivery
You may request that your wine is left somewhere on the premises without a signature (for instance, a shed or porch) if you are likely to be out, but our insurance does not cover unattended dispatches so please be aware that this is at your OWN RISK.
We are happy to pass on your instructions, however be aware that we use a third-party national courier network and for this reason would NOT recommend this option. We may request a safer delivery solution if particularly unsecure or impractical instructions are provided for wine to be left unattended in high-risk areas

Delivery Charges
We may offer Free Home Delivery or promotions from time to time at management’s discretion. Unless or otherwise specified as Free Home Delivery for a given period, normally following Delivery Charges apply in New Zealand (per case) :
Metropolitan Auckland - $7.95, Elsewhere in North Island - $12.95, South Island - $14.95.

ANZ Wine strives to keep the prices of its products as low as possible. We do not subsidize the delivery cost by inflating the price of the product. Delivery charges are dependant upon the location of the order recipient and the size of the order.

You are able to pay with major credit cards. Within New Zealand, we will also accept payment by cheque, where upon receipt and clearance, orders will be dispatched. If we accept your order for Goods, you must pay us the Purchase Price and delivery charges specified at the time of submitting your order. All amounts payable are calculated in New Zealand dollars. You must pay these amounts by the means we agree with you at the time of submitting your order.

If your credit card details are invalid or the financial institution responsible for your credit card does not approve the purchase transaction, we will contact you. We may stop delivery of the Goods or keep the Goods until payment is made.

Availability of Products
Despite our best efforts to maintain fully accurate stock records it may sometimes happen that we are unable to fulfil an order. In this case, customers will be contacted directly to make alternative arrangements.

Goods that are no longer wanted must be returned within 7 days of the original delivery of your order. Any costs associated with returning unwanted goods are at your expense - ANZ Wine or the winery involved can only credit you upon safe receipt and inspection of the products into our warehouse. We shall accept returns and give full refunds only where the products have not been opened or damaged.  Any refund will be provided as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days of us receiving your returned order. Unfortunately, we are not able to reimburse you the initial delivery charge when you have exercised your right to cancel your order.

Claims for Breakages
Upon receipt of your order, you should carefully inspect it to make sure that it is intact and in full. The courier must be informed of breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. We, or the wineries involved will not accept any claims for breakages or shortages unless they are stated on the couriers' documentation. We must have confirmation of these breakages or shortages within 7 days of the delivery.

Damage in Transit and Returns
Although we believe that you will be pleased with your order, there may be occasions where you feel it necessary to return an order. We endeavor to keep this process as simple as possible. We accept returns and give refunds where the goods have not been opened or damaged. You may choose to return all or part of your order. Shipping costs back to us are normally at your expense (except where the goods do not comply with statutory requirements) and we can only credit you upon safe receipt and inspection of the goods into our warehouse. All refunds will be paid as soon as possible within 30 days of you contacting us provided our courier has picked up the wine.

If bottles are broken or damaged in transit to you, the damaged goods must be returned to us. Shipping costs for the damaged portion of the delivery back to us is at our expense - customers must contact us to arrange the return shipping. ANZ Wine (or the winery involved with the transaction) can only credit customers for the items that have been damaged upon safe receipt of the products into our hands.

Handling Complaints
We deal with complaints effectively, in a fair, confidential, and speedy manner. We endeavor to respond to all complaints within five to seven working days.

All of our transactions take place in a secure environment and we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given us, to prevent unauthorized access. The web site registers each individual with their e-mail address and a password - both of which you provide. This information enables us to accurately process and fulfil your order, and to confirm your order by email. We may record which products you are interested in and which products you purchase. The statutory rights of our customers are not affected by the terms of our service.

Gift Delivery
Please check whether our delivery service is suitable BEFORE placing an order. We require a valid telephone number for the recipient; if the order is a gift delivery we often prefer to avoid potential delivery issues by contacting the recipient to arrange a convenient delivery date before dispatching. Failure to provide valid contact information could delay dispatch of your order. Please note that we reserve the right NOT to follow instructions to leave gift deliveries unattended (on a doorstep, etc) as this is rarely appropriate - in these circumstances we will check first with the recipients to see whether a safer solution can be found.
Delivery hours are Mon to Fri during working hours, so do please consider whether this is suitable BEFORE placing the order (for example, instructing us to deliver to a home address when the recipient is at work all week is likely to cause problems for them). Two unsuccessful delivery attempts by our couriers will result in the recipient having to collect the wine from a regional depot, which may not be appreciated.
If the wine is a gift and you wish to pass on a message or special delivery instructions you will have an opportunity to add the note in the comments about your order during the ordering process. If the gift is for a special occasion, please note our delivery timescales and processes (as outlined at the top of this page) and allow plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
Delays and/or Queries
We will contact you by email if we are made aware of any unexpected delays, or have any queries regarding your order. Certain wines and vintages may occasionally be subject to availability, however we will contact you by email before dispatching to confirm whether you will accept a substitute, or earlier/later vintage, by way of replacement.
Specific Delivery Requests
If you would like to liaise with us regarding arranging a convenient delivery day, or if you have any further queries regarding our delivery process, do please contact us using the details supplied on the 'Contact Us' page and we will do our best to accommodate. If a particular delivery address proves to be persistently problematic for our couriers to negotiate for any reason, we reserve the right to request that the customer provides an alternative, more practical address.

We will report credit card fraud to the relevant authorities of any attempted fraudulent order.  Credit Card fraud in particular is a crime that is being committed daily over the internet.
